Warmly welcome to our booth Thu 24.10–Sun 27.10 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Craft workshop on 15.6.2024 from 12 PM to 4 PM.

Would you like to spend a relaxed and enjoyable day with your craft hobby and possibly bring a friend along?

Now you have the opportunity to try out different handicraft techniques at Ruukin Kehräämö's Workshop Days in Mathildedal! The theme for June is yarn spinning (Marja) and peg loom weaving (Leena). Ruukin Kehräämö and Mathildedal offer a unique setting for a fun day of learning something new.
Wouldn't it be great to knit with your own hand-spun yarn? In the course, you will learn the basics of spinning yarn, and a suitable goal, in addition to acquiring the new skill, is a stripe or two on a sock cuff or a hat.  😊

Or perhaps you want to knit a soft and warm seat pad from Kehräämö's alpaca yarns. With the punch needle technique, it can be done easily and quickly.
The course price is €50, including instruction and a coffee break snack. (Materials are not included in the course price.)

Materials and tools can be purchased from the teachers and the spinning mill. You can also bring your own yarns or fibers.

Moving chores

The spinning machinery of Ruukki Spinning Mill has moved to a new address, and the spinning work is now continued by the newly established Linkulla Spinneri Oy in Inkoo. The operations of Ruukki Spinning Mill remain unchanged; our yarn spinning is now carried out by the wonderful young women, Tove and Henna. They have spent the entire summer learning and working together at the Mathildedal spinning mill. In the group photo are Leena and Sini, the future spinning godmothers (or maybe grandmothers 😂), along with our young spinning work successors Tove and Henna ❤.
