Craft Workshop June 15, 2024, from 12 PM to 4 PM.

Would you like to spend a relaxed and enjoyable day with your craft hobby and possibly bring a friend along?

Now you have the opportunity to try out various craft techniques at the Ruukin Kehräämön Pajapäivät in Mathildedal! The theme for June is yarn spinning (Marja) and tap weaving (Leena). Ruukin Kehräämö and Mathildedal provide a unique setting for a fun day of learning something new.
Wouldn't it be great to spin your own yarn? In this course, you will learn the basics of yarn spinning, and a suitable goal in addition to learning this new skill is to create a stripe or two for a sock cuff or a hat. 😊

Or would you perhaps like to knit a soft and warm seat cushion from Kehräämön alpaca yarns? With the tap technique, it can be done easily and quickly.
Course price €50, includes instruction and a coffee snack. (Materials are not included in the course price.)

You can purchase materials and tools from the teachers and the spinning mill. You can also bring your own yarns or fibers.

Moving activities

The Ruukin Kehräämö spinning machinery has moved to a new address, and the spinning work is now continued by the newly established Linkulla Spinneri Oy in Inkoo. The operations of Ruukin Kehräämö continue as before; our yarn spinning will now be carried out by the lovely young women, Tove and Henna. They have been learning and working together at the Mathildedali spinning mill all summer. In the group photo, Leena and Sini, the future spinning godmothers (or perhaps -grandmothers 😂), along with our young successors in spinning, Tove and Henna ❤.
