Summer Season Opening in Mathildedal
Welcome to open the summer season with us! Summer is just around the corner, and we want to celebrate it with you. On Saturday, May 23rd, we are hosting the Summer Season Opening at our Mathildedal shop. The shop will be open all day from 11 AM, and around 3 PM, there will be a small musical entertainment number. Throughout the day, there will be berry and cider tastings from Hallonmäki Farm.
Our shop will feature our entire Alpaca Royal collection and all our new spring products. We will provide expert tips for summer dressing, and you will find high-quality and guaranteed comfortable products for all your summer activities.
Welcome to celebrate the arrival of summer with us in a relaxed atmosphere. Come and bring your friends!
Taito Shop Helsinki Customer Evening
Taito Shop Helsinki is hosting a customer evening on Thursday, April 23rd, from 3 PM to 6 PM at Eteläesplanadi 4. Sini and Leena from Ruukin Kehräämö will be there to talk about our products and operations, and new spring products will also be showcased. During the evening, you can participate in a workshop, and there will also be sweet treats and drinks available. The first visitors will receive a spring surprise, and those who spend over €50 will receive a surprise gift.

Ruukin Kehräämö & Taito Shop Helsinki
We have heard our customers' wish to have Ruukin Kehräämö products available for sale in Helsinki. Taito Shop (Eteläesplanadi 4) offers a curated selection of our unique alpaca wool products. This includes knitwear from the Alpaca Royal collection, as well as bestsellers from our accessories and home textiles range. In addition, there is a very limited edition of unique clothing items made in Finland that you won't find anywhere else.
The Taito Shop in Helsinki belongs to the national Taito Shop chain and the Design District Helsinki organization, which represents a cluster of creative industry professionals in the Helsinki city center. The shop's product selection consists of high-quality and responsibly manufactured products from domestic craft entrepreneurs. The products and the shop exude a warm atmosphere, high quality, and authenticity, supported by natural materials and stories.
Helsinki International Horse Show
Ruukin Kehräämö will once again be part of the biggest equestrian event of the year, the Helsinki International Horse Show. The event will take place on February 26 - March 1, 2026, at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre. You can find us at expo stand 6a50.
Ruukin Kehräämö participates in Pop-Up in Helsinki
A selection of our products will be featured at the Ven&Collective Pop-Up from November 20th to December 20th, 2025, at Mikonkatu 2. The Pop-Up will showcase products from 39 different designer brands, both from Finland and around the world.
Mathildedal Christmas Market
The traditional Christmas market will be held at Mathildedal Ironworks on two consecutive Saturdays, November 22nd and November 29th. Our shop will be open from 11 AM to 6 PM. Welcome to enjoy the Christmas spirit!
Finland's Most Responsible Product 2026 has been chosen
Ruukin Kehräämö's tube scarf, made from Royal quality alpaca fiber, was among the finalists in the Most Responsible Product of the Year 2026 competition. Our product was deemed responsible and worthy of a place in the finals by the independent Responsibility Panel of Ostavastuullisesti.fi .
We were not among the winners this time, but our Alpaca Royal collection achieved a respectable fifth place in the public vote out of 130 products and 75 companies. A big thank you to everyone who voted for us!
We are participating in the Finnish Craft & Design Fair from 14-16.11.2025
Pop-up shop in Tampere on Sunday, October 19, 25, from 11 AM to 4 PM
On Sunday, October 19, 2025, the team from Ruukin Kehräämö will pack their knitwear and knitting yarns and head towards Tampere.
Harjun Kukka is hosting an autumn event at its premises (Nokiantie 24) from 11 AM to 4 PM, which, in addition to Ruukin Kehräämö's pop-up shop, will also feature a pop-up cafe, a wreath workshop, a photo wall, autumn flower bouquets, and much more lovely and inspiring things.
