The yarn is made in Peru and the shades of the yarn vary less than our artisan yarns. However, please reserve enough yarn for the knitwear you are planning. If necessary, we help in assessing the need for yarn.

Our artisan yarns are spun in a small Finnish spinning mill and are made of 100% alpaca fiber.

Knitting with high-quality 100% alpaca yarns is comfortable. The yarn is always of uniform quality and is pleasant to handle. Whatever you knit, the product will be a long-lasting and stylish sweater for your own wardrobe or as a gift. We can promise that.

2-strand alpaca yarn is undyed and therefore retains the excellent properties of alpaca fiber even as a finished product.

Please note that even if the yarn has the same name as before, each batch of yarn is unique and finding a yarn of exactly the same shade later on can be challenging. So please reserve enough yarn for the sweater you are planning. You can always return the extra skein. If necessary, we also help in evaluating the need for yarn.

Suri alpaca yarn is made in Peru, where almost all Suri alpacas live. Our alpaca yarns are either natural alpaca colors or hand-dyed.

The wool detergent is suitable for both hand and machine washing and is an excellent stain remover!

Ruukin Kehräämö wool detergent is designed specifically for alpaca wool in cooperation with Faintend Oy. The detergent is particularly suitable for all delicate fibers such as silk, cashmere, angora rabbit, etc.

Ruukki's Kehräämö wool detergent is based on a special surfactant patented by Finland's only surfactant manufacturer. The product manufactured in a family business in Salo has been developed especially with the properties of alpaca wool in mind. Fain surfactant has been found to be gentle on the skin based on clinical tests. The product rinses off easily and does not contain zeolite, phosphate, enzymes, bleaches or rinse agents. All detergent raw materials are biodegradable.

The patented Fain technology used in the production of the Fain surfactant mixture does not cause emissions, waste water, noise or smell. It is environmentally friendly and consumes little energy.
