Truly comfortable

Alpaca fiber has especially good thermal regulation. The fiber's structure is hollow and contains air pockets whose trapped air acts as insulation. Thanks to these air pockets, alpaca products are warm, breathable and extremely lightweight. Alpaca fiber repels water and dirt and does not retain odors. The hypoallergenic and antibacterial fiber is also well suited for sensitive skin and allergy-friendly homes.

The color shades we use mimic the natural tones of alpaca fleece. The alpaca fiber used by Ruukin Kehräämö is only dyed if that color is not available undyed. Any dyeing is always carried out under controlled conditions, using the safest and most responsible REACH- and GOTS-certified methods.

Our goal is to bring quality and everyday luxury into as many people's lives as possible. Our neatly finished, high-quality products not only feel wonderful but also look good. We strive to create products that remain relevant year after year, in every season. We do not have seasonal products. All our products remain in the collection as long as there is demand.

Responsible production

We import some of the alpaca yarns used in our products from Peru. The spinning mill Michell Group, our partner, guarantees ethical alpaca farming. All breeders supplying alpaca fiber to the Michell Group are required to hold a Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS) certificate.

We minimize water use in our production processes and avoid unnecessary chemicals. In addition, we strive to use environmentally friendly alternatives in every detail of our products and at all stages of production.
